Battle For Stones River 2013: Scenario One

UPDATE: THIS SCENARIO WAS MODIFIED ON JANUARY 27TH, 2013.

Alright, here is the first of six possible scenarios. Remember, these are still subject to change, and we will post six but only use four. We are looking for feedback, so if something doesn't play right, or you have questions, contact us and let us know!

Battle for Stones River 2013: Scenario One

"Blood will have Blood, Sorrow piles upon Sorrow, Vengeance breeds Vengeance.”

The Battlefield
Use deployment map: Dawn of War (page 119) and setup any player owned fortifications. Players cannot move terrain to make room for fortifications. Prior to deployment of forces, roll for Warlord Traits and Psychic Powers accordingly.
Players roll off. The winner may choose to deploy 1st or 2nd. Player deploying 1st deploys their entire force except infiltrators and those units held in reserve. The player deploying 1st also takes 1st turn unless the opposing player can steal the initiative. The game length is variable, see page 122 of Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.

Victory Conditions
This scenario is based on the pure hatred each army feels for the other and their enemy’s utter destruction. With this in mind, the player that scored the most Victory points at the end of the game is the winner.
Primary Objective
Each player gains 2 Victory points for each Infantry, Jump Infantry and Bike (excluding Independent Characters) unit that they destroy completely. For all other units, players gain 1 Victory point. Units that have not entered from reserve or are fleeing at the end of the game are considered destroyed.
Secondary Objectives
Players may gain an additional Victory point for completing the following: Slay the Warlord, First Blood and Last Man Standing (the side with the greatest number of units surviving at the end of the game).
Special Rules
Reserves.
